The Statistic Love Village Program (Desa Cantik) continues to be followed up by the BPS for South Bengkulu Regency. To add insight and experience, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, BPS Bengkulu Selatan Regency conducted a comparative study in the Beringin Jaya Village. This outstanding village, located in North Pagar Alam District, Pagar Alam City, won the Top Ten Best Beautiful Villages in 2021 in Indonesia.
First of all, a comparative study was conducted at the BPS of Pagar Alam City as the supervisor of Beautiful Village in Pagar Alam City. They conveyed the tips they used to make this program a success. The builder of the Beautiful Village of Pagar Alam City as well as the Coordinator of the Social Statistics Function, Armula Pratama, S.S.T. conveyed that BPS as the supervisor must be able to arouse curiosity, enthusiasm, and a sense of belonging to the village for the data in the village. Then, BPS must also identify data needs and what the village wants so that what is done in the Beautiful Village Program will really benefit the village in question, the wider community, and even BPS itself.
The presentation was continued by the main supervisor of the Beautiful Village of Pagar Alam City as well as the IPDS Function Coordinator of the Pagar Alam City BPS, Pray Putra Hasianro Nadeak, S.S.T. "We have to raise the spirit of the village to present an interesting dissemination of the data in the village so that innovative ideas can even emerge from the village itself. The Beringin Jaya Urban Village is challenging BPS to be able to make the output of Beautiful Village into a modern and contemporary one. This is inspiring BPS Pagar Alam City to produce outputs of Beautiful Villages based on geospatial data in WebApps-based thematic maps," said Pray.
The team from BPS Bengkulu Selatan Regency were also invited to tour the Beringin Jaya Lurah Office. On this occasion, it is shown the changes that occurred in the Lurah Office before and after the Beautiful Village Program was implemented. Wawan, S.Sos., M.M. as the village head of Beringin Jaya expressed his gratitude for the working visit of BPS Bengkulu Selatan Regency. Wawan and Dedi Fahlevi, M.Sc. as the Head of BPS Pagar Alam City agreed that they hoped that their sharing of experiences could provide inspiration and motivation for villages in South Bengkulu Regency.
