Do you know what inflation is? Inflation is a condition of rising prices, both goods and services in general.

Now, if we look closely throughout 2023 in South Sumatra Province, it turns out that every month there is always inflation except in May and August.

Based on BPS monitoring of 402 commodities in a combination of 2 cities in South Sumatra Province on September 2023, 115 commodities experienced price increases.

The expenditure group that contributed the most to inflation on September was the group of Food, Beverage, Tobacco, which amounted to 0.33 percent. The commodity in this group that experienced the highest price increase was rice with a price change of 11.96 percent.
