Abstract

"The number of foreign tourists who came to Indonesia in February 2012 reached 592.5 thousand people or 4.30 percent increase compared to the number of foreign tourists in February 2011 which reached 568.1 thousand people.In comparison with January 2012, the number of foreign tourists in February 2012 fell by 9.22 percent.

The number of foreign tourists coming through Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, during February 2012 rose 3.82 percent compared to February 2011, from 201.5 thousand people to 209.2 thousand people. If compared to January 2012, the number of foreign tourists to Bali fell by 16.24 percent.

Cumulatively (January-February) 2012, the number of foreign tourists reached 1.25 million people or an increase of 11.49 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2011 as many as 1.12 million people.

Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in 20 provinces in February 2012 reached an average of 50.78 percent, or down 0.56 points compared to the ROR of February 2011 which amounted to 51.34 percent. Similarly, if compared to hotel TPK in January 2012, star-rated hotels in February 2012 decreased 0.49 points.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in 20 provinces during February 2012 was 2.06 days, up 0.02 days compared to February 2011.
