South Sumatra Economy in Quarter III-2022 Grows 5.34 Percent (Y-on-Y)

Abstract

The economy of South Sumatra Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2022 reached Rp. 149.98 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 reached Rp. 88.28 trillion.
The economy of South Sumatra Province in the third quarter of 2022 grew by 2.55 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Mining and Quarrying Business Field experienced the highest growth of 6.34 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of Expenditures, the Foreign Export Component achieved an increase of 16.17 percent.
The economy of South Sumatra Province in the third quarter of 2022 grew by 5.34 (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Business Field experienced the highest growth of 18.23 percent. In terms of Expenditures, the highest growth occurred in the Overseas Export Component, which was 19.38 percent.
The economy of South Sumatra Province in the first quarter to the third quarter of 2022 (c-to-c) grew 5.24 percent. In terms of production, the largest growth occurred in the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Business Field of 15.22 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, it was mainly driven by the Foreign Export Component which grew by 15.61 percent.
