Regional Statistics Coaching for Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) of Pagar Alam Municipality

On Tuesday (6/11), Pagar Alam City Regional Statistics Development Organization (OPD) was held. This coaching took place in the meeting room of the BPS- Statistics of Pagar Alam Municipality with 10 coaching participants from 10 OPDs in Pagar Alam City. This coaching is led directly by Dedi Fahlevi, M.Si as the Head BPS- Statistics of Pagar Alam Municipality. 

The selection of ten OPDs to participate in the coaching was carried out because sectoral statistical data from the ten OPDs had a major contribution in the publication of Regions in Figures (DDA) compiled by BPS Kota Pagar Alam so far. The ten agencies are the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), the Regional Financial Agency (BKD), the Health Service (Dinkes), the Transportation Service (Dishub), the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR Office), the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Department of Population and Civil Registry (Disdukcapil), Office of Agriculture (Distan) and Office of Communication and Information Technology (Diskominfo). 

The purpose of this regional statistical guidance is to explain to the 10 OPDs about the implementation of the National Statistical System (SSN) and plans to form a single data forum for the City of Pagar Alam. On this occasion, the Head of BPS Kota Pagar Alam emphasized the importance of the role of BPS as a statistical supervisor and compiler of basic statistical data in Pagar Alam City and Diskominfo as sectoral statistical walidata that coordinates all OPDs in the preparation of sectoral statistical data. The explanation of this important role is also accompanied by an explanation of the legal bases that govern this so that the role of each agency / agency in implementing SSN in Pagar Alam City is truly based on the existing regulations. The Head of BPS Kota Pagar Alam also on the occasion conveyed his plan to initiate a Mayor Regulation (Perwako) as a legal umbrella for implementing the one data forum and this was welcomed by all participants who attended the training. 

On this occasion, the Head BPS- Statistics of Pagar Alam Municipality provided the opportunity for the section heads at BPS Kota Pagar Alam to provide explanations to each participant about the strategic statistical indicators generated from each section and the latest issues related to these indicators. This is done to make the participants understand the importance of the data they have provided to BPS. It is hoped that with each participant understanding this, OPD's concern for the sustainability of SSN in Pagar Alam City will increase and each participant can become statistical agents in their respective offices / institutions.
