Abstract

"The number of foreign tourists who came to Indonesia in December 2011 reached 724.5 thousand people or increased 12.47 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in December 2010 which reached 644.2 thousand people.In comparison with November 2011, the number of foreign tourists in December 2011 rose by 10.63 percent.

The number of foreign tourists to Bali via Ngurah Rai airport in December 2011 rose 11.61 percent compared to December 2010, from 222.5 thousand people to 248.3 thousand people in December 2011. Similarly, if compared to November 2011, the number of foreign tourists to Bali rose amounted to 12.71 percent.

Cumulatively (January-December) 2011, the number of foreign tourists reached 7.65 million people or up 9.24 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2010 as many as 7.00 million people.

The income of tourism in 2011 is estimated to reach US $ 8.6 billion, up 13.16 percent compared to 2010's foreign exchange revenue of US $ 7.6 billion.

Room Occupancy Rate (star-rated hotel) in 20 provinces in December 2011 reached an average of 55.57 percent, up 1.92 points compared to the ROR in December 2010 of 53.65 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the hotel's TPK November 2011, star-rated hotels in December 2011 increased by 2.60 points.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in 20 provinces during December 2011 was 1.93 days, down 0.05 days compared to December 2010.
