Abstract

The number of labor force in Pagar Alam City based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2023 was 81.39 thousand people, an increase of 3.16 thousand people compared to August 2022. In line with the increase in the number of labor force, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also experienced an increase of 0.80 percentage points.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 2.71 percent, down by 0.91 percentage points compared to August 2022.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Pagar Alam City is dominated by residents with a Vocational High School education, namely 13.21 percent in August 2023.

The population working in Pagar Alam City is 79.19 thousand people, an increase of 3.79 thousand people from August 2022.

A total of 20.66 thousand people (26.09 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 1.69 percentage points compared to August 2022. On the other hand, the number of people working in informal activities decreased compared to August 2022, namely from 75.60 percent to 73. 91 percent.
