Abstract

The economy of Pagar Alam City is based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in 2023 reaching IDR 3.49 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 reaching IDR 2.55 trillion.

Pagar Alam City's economy will grow by 4.35 percent in 2023. Slightly slower compared to 2022. From the production side, growth was mainly driven by growth in the Wholesale and Retail Trade categories, and Car and Motorbike Repairs which grew by 6.91 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, growth in LNPRT Consumption Expenditures grew by 6.55 percent, followed by Government Consumption Expenditures by 5.12 percent, and Household Consumption Expenditures by 4.89 percent.

The economic structure of Pagar Alam City is dominated by five main business fields, namely: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (23.21 percent), Wholesale and Retail Trade (20.76 percent), Construction (15.89 percent), Educational Services (9, 91 percent) and Real Estate (5.46 percent). Meanwhile, the GRDP structure in terms of expenditure is dominated by Household Consumption Expenditures (79.31 percent), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (35.52 percent), and Government Consumption Expenditures (15.52 percent).
