Abstract

The total workforce in Pagar Alam City in August 2022 was 78.23 thousand people, a decrease of 327 people compared to August 2021. In line with the decrease in the total workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also decreased by 1.10 percentage points

The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 3.62 percent, up 1.98 percentage points compared to August 2021.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Pagar Alam City is dominated by residents with high school education and above, namely 4.88 percent in August 2022.

There were 75.40 thousand people working in Pagar Alam City in August 2022, a decrease of 1.87 thousand people compared to August 2021.

As many as 75.60 percent of the population work in informal activities in August 2022 conditions. This number has increased by 1.92 percentage points compared to August 2021 which was 73.68 percent. On the other hand, the number of people working in formal activities decreased compared to August 2021, namely from 26.32 percent to 24.40 percent.
