Abstract

The economy of Pagar Alam Municipality based on the size of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in 2022 reaches IDR 3.26 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it reaches IDR 2.45 trillion.

The economy of Pagar Alam Municipality in 2022 will grow by 4.93 percent. There was an acceleration when compared to 2021. From the production side, growth was mainly driven by growth in the Wholesale and Retail Trade and Car and Motorcycle Repair categories of 7.03 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the growth of LNPRT Consumption Expenditure grew by 6.53 percent, followed by Household Consumption Expenditure of 5.70 percent, and Government Consumption Expenditure of 6.53 percent.

The economic structure of Pagar Alam Municipality is dominated by five main business fields, namely: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (23.14 percent), Wholesale and Retail Trade (20.42 percent), Construction (16.08 percent), Educational Services (10, 00 percent) and Real Estate (5.53 percent). Meanwhile, the GDP structure from the expenditure side was dominated by Household Consumption Expenditure (78.61 percent), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (36.56 percent), and Government Consumption Expenditure (15.47 percent).
